How is the commission calculated?

Fixed Fee — is a set amount that depends on the chosen network (for example, $1 for BEP20).

Percentage Fee — is a percentage of the remaining amount after the fixed fee is deducted (for example, 0.5%).

The total amount that will be received is calculated sequentially: first, the fixed fee is applied, then the percentage fee.

Example:

Payment amount 1000 USDT on the BEP20 network

  • Fixed fee: $1

  • Deducted from the amount: 1000$ − 1$ = 999$

  • Percentage fee: 0.5% of the remaining 999$

  • Calculation: 999$ × 0.005 = 4.995$

  • Total amount after all fees:
    999$ − 4.995$ ≈ 994.005$

  • The total amount to be received will be 994.005$.

Why do commissions differ in different networks?

The difference in fees depends on the specific characteristics of each blockchain network. Here are the main reasons:

Transaction fees on the network (network charges): Each network has its own internal costs for processing transactions, which depend on its load and infrastructure. For example, the ERC20 network (Ethereum) is usually more expensive due to its high popularity and limited throughput.

Transaction processing speed: High-speed networks like TRC20 (Tron) have lower fees due to high throughput. Slower networks, like ERC20, charge more for priority processing of transactions.

Technological structure: Some blockchains (e.g., BEP20) use more efficient technologies and infrastructure, which allows for a reduction in both fixed and percentage fees.

Popularity and demand: Networks with high popularity and a large demand for transactions (e.g., Ethereum) have higher fees due to competition for space in blocks.

We offer flexible solutions across different networks so that users can choose the most profitable way to transfer funds.

What to do if the transaction did not go through?

If your transaction was not completed, please follow these steps.

Check the transaction status on the blockchain:
Use txid (transaction ID) or your wallet address to find the information in the blockchain explorer (for example, BscScan for BEP20 or Etherscan for ERC20).
Make sure the transaction is pending or has been rejected.

Check the balance:
Make sure you have enough funds for the transfer and to pay the network fee.

Check the transaction details:
Make sure you have entered the recipient's address correctly and selected the appropriate network.

Check the network load:
Sometimes the network may be overloaded, and the transaction will not be processed in a timely manner. Try again later.

Contact support:
If you are sure everything was done correctly but the transaction did not go through - contact Nord support. Prepare the following information:

  • txid or wallet address;

  • transaction amount;

  • network used (for example, BEP20, TRC20, ERC20).

Repeat the transaction:
If the transaction was not recorded on the blockchain, you can try to conduct it again after resolving any possible issues.

We are always ready to help you resolve any issues related to transfers!
